Dressing up for a night out is always something to look forward to.

The thought of choosing your outfit, maybe applying fake tan, curling your hair, making a bit more of an effort and doing all the little things that make us feel slightly more confident and happier.

If you're a girl like me who loves dressing up, you know what I mean.

T.M Lewin got in contact with me asking how I would transform a during the day work in the boardroom attire into an evening look suitable for a pint at a local pub with friends.
In response to this, I am going to share my recommendations with you as to how one can go from the daytime to nighttime attire without having to go home to get changed.

In my opinion it's not so much the outfit you pick which influences one's transitioning from daytime to nighttime attire, but the accessories.

For evening drinks with the girls I always suggest a clutch bag.

Always add an edge to the look

And they hold all your necessities in.

The internet can be used for alot of different things, however it was not until after 1955 that it became available for things other than academia.

Today I am going to talk about the highs and lows of the internet community. 

How surfing the web can be a great deal of fun but only to some extent.

The internet can now be used for things such as;

Reading books
Seeing the latest news
Online shopping
Watching videos on YouTube

Watching films (Netflix, Putlocker, Amazon Prime etc etc..)

The list is endless

I am going to sound like a typical father here but 'back in the day', if you wanted to watch a film you would have to go to either buy/rent a DVD/video from your nearest store

To read the latest news you would have to go to the newsagents to pick up a newspaper

Clothes would only be available in stores

Books would only be available at libraries or a book store

The key fact about all these things is that they required exercise..
Seeing as the internet can be accessed by any computer/laptop, companies have made themselves accessible on the internet to ensure they stay in business. The reason being it is much easier to shop from the comfort of your sofa/bed than it is to go to the store.

The internet can be used for almost anything now, the only thing it has left to provide is food. Although that is almost possible seeing as we can use the internet to online shop and place a food order which delivers to our homes. Food is basically coming out of our computers.

The internet can be a fun, interesting place which makes our lives easier and in some cases, lazier. It's fun to play around on, to search the web of endless possibilities. Like I said you can basically go shopping without having to move from the comfort of your sofa or even to order pizza when its that time of the month. The internet is all fun and games, but what about those who provide these things on the internet?

I don't know if you remember my post on society's expectations, you can however read it HERE for a re-cap. But I wrote about the expectations a model has to live up to. I discussed how the audience do not realise the pressure they experience but instead, admire their lives and aspire to be as pretty as the girl advertising a new mascara by Maybelline.

Before I begin rambling and lose my way on what topic I am actually talking about today, my point is the internet is constantly striving to live up to and please society or they could lose their business. In relation to models, they have to constantly please their audiences otherwise if their audience loses interest, the model could lose their job. The reason being they're not attractive enough causing people to be less interested in buying the product.

The internet is constantly trying to live up to society's expectations just like a model is striving to look and be better than another. Models compete against eachother just like the different topics on the internet do.

From the outside we see the internet as an amazing place, however we sometimes forget/don't realise what it is actually like to be inside the internet, to be a part of the engine that keeps it going.

However, as an outsider it seems glorious to, for example begin filming your own videos for YouTube or writing posts for a blog. To basically become part of the internet.

Those who provide all these different spaces on the internet make everything seem amazing and fun as they are obviously doing an amazing job. They do such an incredible job that, we can sometimes be lured in to be part of something that seems amazing.

We jump ship before thinking about the possible consequences of doing so. Some can ignore these 'consequences', but for others, one could begin experiencing insecurity, depression etc.

These consequences begin once we've put pressure on ourselves if our audience accepts and enjoys what we have brought to the internet. We therefore put pressure on ourselves to maintain our audience and ensuring they keep returning to our space.

What starts off as a fun space that makes you happy, can turn into something that causes stress, pressure and the opposite of fun; something ugly.

Those who run the internet are amazing, powerful people who have somehow found the ability to get past any pressure or even moments of hate from their audience. An ability in which others may not be able to acquire.

Seeing as the audience are basically the judges for online content, the providers are always striving for acceptance and for us to enjoy what they're producing.

This can however enable some members of the audience to become too big-headed and bully the providers into changing their content so that this person stops complaining.

It then turns into something in which an audience member likes which perhaps wasn't what you had planned for this particular space.

This space then no longer becomes your space, it transforms into their space which isn't what it's all about.

The reality is, this individual is a bully who has got nothing better to do than sit around on their lazy ass all day sending their nasty comments over the internet as easily as it is to spread butter on a slice of toast.

Those who hate on the internet merely spend too much time on it. They've got nothing better than to leave a nasty comment which will obviously get a reaction and that is unfortunately their excitement for one day. In some ways we should feel sorry for haters on the internet as their lives are too boring that they have to fill it with something like judging others for their success in which they are too lazy to achieve themselves!

If you are experiencing this, learn to ignore these moments of hate. Instead of thinking 'if I do what they want they'll stop complaining'. What about the next person? How long will it be until another audience member hates/complains on what you're providing.

Keep your space yours and those who enjoy it will be your audience, those who don't can leave and find something else that suits their interests.

Not everyone's the same!

At the end of the day yes the internet is an amazing thing to use what has been provided..
But don't forget those who are providing it.
Without an engine, a plane can't fly.

Hello everyone!

Pigmentation; I wouldn't say the pigmentation 
is very high, this is probably due to them 
being shimmery and sparkly. You could 
probably find higher pigmentation in 
matte shades (depends what eye look you're going for).




Shades; The cube consists of four mini pinky shades, there is a nice selection as all the colours are slightly different but are of the same tone. Seeing as the shades involve both cream and pinky colours, an eye makeup look could be put together with the four cubes alone by starting from the lightest to the darkest. However, they don't feel too heavy on the eyelids and are easy to apply (just what we want in the summertime right?) The shades also shimmer in the sun just as a highlighter would do!

Welcome to today's post featuring the lovely Boutique of Molly's 'Nadia' Floral High Neck Bodycon Dress!

(and welcome to my first fashion post!)
I think I wrote a fashion-based post a few years back, however I would like to bring more fashion to my blog aswell as beauty and lifestyle as this is something I enjoy shopping for and talking about! After being asked to write a review on one of their clothing items from their site, I could hardly resist.

Today's post features a summery bodycon dress by Boutique of Molly which is perfect for this season. 

Due to the dress's detailed patterning I would pair this with a bold coloured jacket and nude platforms.

Seeing as the pattern itself consists of many different shades, there is more than one option for what acessories (colour jacket/shoes/bag) you can pair with this.

Boutique of Molly sell a Sabrina powder blue tailored jacket which I think would go lovely with this.

Although the dress retails at quite a high price of £29.95 the quality is outstanding and you can tell the item will last a long time.

The dress suggests a summer theme however you could try and wear the item in any other season. I believe that with the help from accessories, an outfit can be worn for all different kind of occasions or seasons.
For example if you were to try and get away with wearing this in the autumn, a waterfall burgundy jacket comes to mind with a black bag/clutch.

Why not?

The dress has multiple colours that almost any colour accessory can be worn with it!

I think this dress would be suitable for a posh event such as a wedding/dinner.. you could even pair it with a denim jacket for a bbq/garden party along with nude sandals.

Although the dress itself may seem as though there's too much going on, the type of jacket can persuade the look into different possibilities.

The dress itself has a small gap showing a minute part of the chest (gives you some room to breathe!)

The back of the dress is not much different from the front.. except it doesn't have a small gap!


Although it does have two little buttons at the top which I assume the dress would be quite difficult to get in and out of without!

I wore this dress with a bold pink lip and a light pink eye look as I felt this helped draw attention to the summery colours in the dress.
However, I definitely think this dress is suitable for during the day events such as bbqs/summer parties/weddings etc and with the use of accessories, can be worn for different occasions.

I really enjoyed preparing for this post as it helped me to come out of my shell a little more as this is something I wouldn't normally do!
It's helped me feel confident and carefree and I learned that my favourite pictures from these were the ones when I appear more relaxed, happy and carefree!

Today I would like to discuss a situation which occurs quite regularly in my life.

As a dancer, I must be prepared for brutal knock-backs and be able to overcome them. Since receiving a few knock-backs, I have been made to rethink my career choice as I think to myself 'why else would I be knocked back?'

These knock-backs are, surprisingly enough, what make us stronger and can therefore enable us to improve our motivation and willingness to succeed.

If you're ever stuck in a situation where someone tells you that you aren't good enough, take a step back and think about the journey you took down this career path. You should realise that you've had good and bad situations, therefore why should you bring it to an end if the journey involved GOOD and bad?

Sometimes we have to experience bad to then be praised with the good.

Why did I get into University to study dance if I am no good at it?

Why have I received good grades if I am no good at it?

Why have I been part of amazing opportunities if I am no good at it?

For one reason only, Motivation.

Success isn't given,

It's Earned,

On the track,

On the field, In the Gym,

With Blood, Sweat,

And the Occasional Tear

(Quinn, Dr Ann, 2013).

Just like athletes, when they run a race and jump over hurdles, they train themselves to be able to jump over the hurdles each and every time it is in their sight.

How is that any different from every day life?

We must simply do our best to prepare ourselves for any negativity. However some negativity can, like a hurdle, stand in our way of success and to get past it we must overcome it.

Thinking back to an athlete trying training to jump over a hurdle, there is no way (let's call them Bill) that Bill will be able to succeed without motivation and passion.
This motivation and passion for the sport enables Bill to practice practice practice until he has succeeded.

So therefore, all we're doing here is turning negativity into motivation.
Every time you experience another knock-back, do not ever use the word
'KNOCK-BACK'
replace it with
MOTIVATION

Is the difference in one's figure of speech slightly more positive now?
These knock-backs is reality telling us we need to find our motivation for this career once again!

So at the end of the day that's all it is, it's just life letting us know we need to work a bit harder as there's no gain without pain.


'I am strong because I know my weaknesses'
Things get in the way of our living so that we can prove our strength, ever heard of the saying
'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger'?
All these hurdles that we have to face in our life are there to make us stronger and also increase our motivation in order to succeed in our chosen career.
And to be honest, if we never faced any hurdles, our career would be boring due to the fact that success would come easily.


If success came easy, it wouldn't be classified as success. It would simply lose the value of it's name itself.
To be successful you have to possess a certain level of determination. This then comes from how much effort you to put in which all depends on how much you want it in order to be successful.
Success is basically a reminder of how much you enjoy what you are doing.

Be more like Bill
Bill sees a hurdle
Bill realises he requires motivation, willingness and drive to be able to jump over the hurdle
Bill finds his motivation, willingness and drive as he wants to prove that a silly hurdle cannot stand in the way of his success

Hello everyone!

Today I am going to be sharing with you all what I've been up to throughout July!

It's kind of like a monthly favourites but monthly events!

The next day and the next exciting thing that happened in July, my parents and I went to see The Sound Of Music at the Marlowe Theatre!

We'd only booked the tickets the day before so we were incredibly lucky to be able to find seats!

We had booked a table at The Green Room before the show which is a restaurant inside the theatre and the food was lovely.

I ordered the pork with vegetables for main, the Panna Cotta for dessert and a glass of prossecco!

The show itself was absolutely amazing and professionally done!

I watched the film that afternoon before the show and realised that some parts were taken out merely because the film is 3 hours long!

Nevertheless, the show sustained it's professional standards and the singing was amazing!

The last event which happened in July was my boyfriend Chris's parent's anniversary!
To celebrate, the four of us went for dinner at a pub near my University in Roehampton where the food is always incredible!
I didn't snap a picture of my main course as I was halfway through before I realised I forgot to take a picture!
I had sausages with mash potato in onion gravy and it was amazinnnnnggggg! My mouth is watering as I imagine it!
Then for desert Chris and I shared this strawberry cheesecake which was once again amazing!
It was such a lovely evening which I won't forget!

I really enjoy writing posts like this as it helps me to remove any negative thoughts on my mind by realising how lucky I am to be able to do nice things, especially with family.
